This policy explains what information Dads Home Tech collects and how it’s used. This is a small, independently run review site — we collect as little as possible.
What we currently collect
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand site traffic — things like which pages get visited and roughly how many people are reading them. It does not require account registration. The only email addresses collected are the ones visitors choose to give: through the newsletter signup (see Email newsletter below) , when leaving a comment (see Comments below), or in the “Was this helpful?” box if you want a reply (see Reader feedback below).
Email newsletter
If you sign up for price-drop alerts, your email address is stored with Kit (kit.com), the email service this site uses to send newsletters. You will first get an email asking you to confirm your subscription, and nothing else is sent until you confirm. Your address is used only to send Dads Home Tech emails: price-drop alerts, new reviews and guides. It is never sold or shared with advertisers. Kit may record whether an email is opened or a link is clicked so I can see which emails are useful. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also reply to any email to ask for your address to be deleted. See Kit’s privacy policy for how Kit handles data.
Cookies
Some pages may set cookies needed for basic site functionality, and Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure site traffic. If you click through to a retailer via an affiliate link, that retailer may set its own tracking cookie in line with its own privacy policy — we don’t control that.
Comments
If comments are enabled on this site, visitors who leave a comment may be asked for a name and email address. Comment data may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Reader feedback
Reviews and guides end with a “Was this helpful?” box. Your rating and comment are stored without your name, and we do not store your IP address. Adding your email is optional: if you do, it is used only to reply to your message. It is never shown on the site, shared, or added to any mailing list, and it is deleted automatically after 90 days.
Embedded content and outside links
Pages on this site may include links to retailers and manufacturers. Visiting those sites is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site grows — for example, if we add a newsletter signup or new advertising. Check back here for the current version.
